Ballad is the second songs from the you were…/Ballad single. As its name says it, it’s a ballad. We can hear a mixing between Asian sounds and orchestral sounds. It is really slow and powerful. The chorus is quiet by contrast to you were…’s one. The instrumental part is really beautiful with the violin. The lyrics are really sad.
The pv is really beautiful. One of the best of the year 2009. It shows a dark dream land before to show the real life. We can see a man who posts a letter in a box lost in a big field. The sky is dark and cloudy. Than we go up and see Ayu. She wears a big pink dress. She is in a place who can remember the Heaven. By contrast to the first place, there are a lot of flower, tree, water and butterfly. In that beautiful place Ayu cries for her lovers. They had a motorbike crash because two dark cats had crossed the road. After, we see the man waiting in front of a house with a lot of clocks. The postman brings two letters. After, the man run after the postman and takes away the cat mask of him. He discovers that the postman is… I let you to find it by yourself. The last scene is in the real life.
That atmosphere of that pv is really sad.
